Stand aside for a while and leave room for learning, observe carefully what children do, and then, if you have understood well perhaps teaching will be different from before.

‘Image of the Educator’

‘Image of the Educator’ principles, including Belonging and Connection, Balance and Wellbeing, Wonder and Exploration, Communication and Collaboration, and Purpose and Contribution.

  • Benefits for Educators and Leaders in the field of Early Childhood Education – This two hour, virtual, interactive training will look at the ’Image of the Educator,’ including ‘Teacher as Researcher’ - a principle of the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We will embrace and project a fuller image of early childhood educators and our profession. The goal is to have teachers find their voice, share their work, articulate their practice, and reflect on their professional journey. Together we can commit to create environments that appreciate and understand the interests and abilities of educators, meet their needs with care and sensitivity, engage their minds, offer challenges to extend their world, encourage communication, respond to and recognize their efforts, and facilitate endeavors to be a part of the larger community.

  • This training is a 2-hour class.
